Do your wiper blades leave streaks when it's raining? Do they "chatter" when there is a very light rain? Or do you see pieces of rubber hanging off of them? Then don't wait until they fall apart and leave scratches across your windshield. More importantly, don't let them put you in an unsafe situation where you don't have a clear view of the road when it's raining!

Wiper blades should be changed at least once a year, or when any of the above start to occur. 

When is the last time you checked under the hood of your vehicle? Checking fluid levels, checking belts and hoses and looking for any leaks is critical to the operation of your vehicle and possibly avoiding high repair costs!

- Checking under the hood of your vehicle should be done once a month!

• Check your fluid levels --- oil, transmission fluid, coolant, power steering, brake fluid, windshield washer and battery level (if applicable).
• Check your belt(s) for wear, cracks, cuts and the proper amount of tension (about 1/2" play between pulleys max.)
• Check for any leaks around and under the engine and any components
• Check as many hoses as possible - including radiator and heater hoses and the smaller vacuum hoses for leaks, cracks or any other damage.
• Finally, if you park in the same parking space at home and you see fluid drips accumulating, it would be wise to get your favorite shop to check it out before it becomes a serious problem.
